The Center has, meanwhile, been developing
new technologies for automated sampling. These methods range
from fully automated sensors on buoys or other stationary
platforms to a shipboard sampling that can sample continuously
as the ship is underway. One achievement that has gained
recognition is our ability to measure dynamic features such
as tidal fronts and river plumes with a custom-built flow-through
system, including the pictured fast-rate pCO2
equilibrator.
